Sophie has been instrumental in the creation of landmark housing projects such as the award winning Terrace House, ParkLife, Slate House and Nightingale Brunswick East (Nightingale’s 2nd project and its most cost effective). As Managing Director, Sophie is now leading the evolution Austin Maynard Architects ethical housing creation with a raft of new projects for housing groups and private developers. Balancing commercial acumen, with critical design thinking, Sophie has shown leadership and resilience, in creating ethical and sustainable housing outcomes in an often aggressive, profit driven, male dominated industry.
