Simon O’Leary LLB is a Senior Technical Advisor with Energy Safe Victoria, specialising in the interpretation and application of electrical safety legislation, regulations and technical standards. With more than 38 years’ experience in the building and construction industry, including 15 years in regulation, investigations and enforcement, Simon provides technical and regulatory advice to industry, government and the broader community. He is a member of Standards Australia’s EL-001 Wiring Rules Committee, has led and contributed to major electrical incident investigations, and is actively involved in the development and interpretation of Australia’s electrical installation standards.
