Simon is the Group Chief Development Officer at NEXTDC and has been part of the executive leadership for 15 years. His current portfolio includes leading the company’s strategic direction and execution of data centre location, design, development, construction, and delivery to customers – now driving over $2b per annum capital commitments and overseeing the continued expansion of NEXTDC’s national and international data centre platform in support of the company’s emergence as an ASX100 public company.

Before migrating to Australia with his family to join NEXTDC, Simon was based in Singapore for 6 years, where he directed Tata Communications investments in their global fibre optic sub-sea network expansion. 

Simon holds an Electronic and Electrical Engineering Degree from Nottingham University and began his career as a Telecommunications Systems Engineer in the UK, working directly on a number of submarine and terrestrial international cable projects with Cable & Wireless and Level 3 Communications
