Sabine Kazaka is the Head of the Representative Office in Australia & New Zealand for the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). Since taking on this role at the end of 2022, Sabine has been actively strengthening trade and investment ties between Latvia and Australia, supporting market entry, business delegations and investment projects in both countries. In Q1 2026, Latvia’s goods exports to Australia grew by 16%, with particularly strong growth in wood exports.

Latvia’s manufacturing industry, particularly in areas such as prefabricated homes, wood processing, and metalworking, has gained international recognition for its quality, precision, and sustainable practices. The sector benefits from a highly skilled workforce, a favourable business climate, and access to advanced technologies, making Latvia an attractive destination for foreign investment and international partnerships.
