Phil Hendy is a recognised industry leader in Lean Construction, driving productivity, sustainability, and innovation across Australia and New Zealand. As Co-Founder and Director of ProgressAmp, and a Board Director of Lean Construction ANZ (LCANZ), he is helping shape the future of the industry through practical application of Lean methods, industry collaboration, and capability building.
With over 25 years in senior management and engineering roles on high-profile infrastructure and building projects, Phil has consistently delivered outcomes well beyond expectations. He has introduced step-change innovation and continuous improvement programs across major programs such as the Level Crossing Removal Project, where he pioneered the implementation of digital Last Planner® System for rail projects in Australia, unlocking significant gains in safety, collaboration, reliability, cost, and schedule performance.
Phil’s leadership extends beyond project delivery. He has designed and deployed innovation frameworks, knowledge-sharing platforms, and continuous improvement programs that have created measurable productivity and sustainability benefits across the construction sector. Through LCANZ, he has spearheaded the Building Capability Program, a structured Lean training and certification pathway that is now scaling industry-wide improvement.
