Peter Ryan joined Inland Rail in March 2026 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across major infrastructure, construction and property development. 

Throughout his career, Peter has led large, complex organisations and major infrastructure programs, with a strong focus on operational performance, governance, commercial discipline and the successful delivery of nationally significant projects.

Prior to joining Inland Rail, Peter held senior executive roles with leading infrastructure and property organisations including CPB Contractors, BMD and Dennis Family Corporation, where he was responsible for overseeing large multidisciplinary teams and delivering major transport and urban development projects.

Peter has extensive experience working with government and private sector partners across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and is recognised for his practical leadership style, strong commercial acumen and ability to guide complex programs through challenging delivery environments. 

At Inland Rail, Peter is responsible for operational leadership of the program, supporting the safe, efficient and effective delivery of one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.
