Paul Mason

CEO, Robotics Australia Group

Paul Mason has spent more than 25 years at the intersection of engineering, robotics, manufacturing and commercialisation, helping turn emerging technologies into practical industrial outcomes.

He is the CEO of Robotics Australia Group, Australia’s peak body for robotics, automation and physical AI, where he works to accelerate robotics adoption, strengthen Australia’s robotics and automation industry and connect technology developers with manufacturers, researchers, government and end users.

A qualified mechatronics engineer and computer scientist, Paul’s career has included senior R&D and leadership roles across start-ups, SMEs and multinational companies located in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States. His experience spans robotics, industrial automation, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, new product development and technology commercialisation. Beyond Robotics Australia Group, Paul co-hosts the Manufacturing Tech Australia Podcast, Australia’s #1 manufacturing technology podcast, now in its fourth season, highlighting emerging technologies and the Australian companies building and deploying them.

Paul also serves on the board of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, supporting Australian businesses to become more productive, competitive and operationally excellent. He holds a Master of Engineering, degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
