Nick Degney is the General Manager – Critical Infrastructure and Chief Security Officer at PMT Security Systems, where he leads the strategic direction, risk governance, and delivery of security solutions across some of Australia’s most critical infrastructure environments.

With over two decades of experience spanning government infrastructure, commercial construction, and hyperscale data centre projects, Nick brings deep expertise in end-to-end project delivery, security risk management, and regulatory compliance. He has played a pivotal role in the design and implementation of integrated security frameworks for high-risk, high-value assets, ensuring alignment with national standards including SOCI, PSPF, DISP, and state-based regulatory requirements.

In his dual leadership role, Nick is responsible for overseeing complex portfolios across the data centre and critical infrastructure sectors, driving business growth while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and governance. He works closely with clients, operators, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and future-ready security solutions tailored to the evolving threat landscape.
