Statement: As a Master of Construction Management student at Deakin University with a background in Civil Engineering, I am deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the construction industry. Having navigated my own journey as an international student in Australia, I understand first-hand the value that diverse perspectives bring to problem-solving, innovation, and team culture. My experiences, ranging from site supervision and estimating during my internship at Grow Green Constructions, to mentoring young learners as part of the TAC L2P program with the City of Greater Geelong, reflect my drive to create spaces that are not only structurally sound, but socially inclusive. I actively engage with professional bodies and networks like NAWIC and have participated in initiatives such as the Buddy Program, which reinforces my belief in representation and support. Becoming a Diversity in Construction Ambassador would allow me to contribute meaningfully to industry conversations, advocate for greater equity, diversity and accessibility, and inspire others from all walks of life to pursue and thrive in construction careers. I would be proud to share my story and work collaboratively to spotlight the voices and contributions of underrepresented groups at Melbourne Build 2025.
