Matthew is the director of Carland Constructions who specialise in homes that are healthy, comfortable and optimised. Matthew entered the building industry as a carpentry apprentice after completing a degree in Science (Nutrition). After realising that he wanted more, Matthew obtained his builders licence and transformed Carland Constructions into being one of the leaders of Passive House construction in Melbourne. 

Matthew loves everything building science, and is a strong advocate for lifting the standards of the construction industry. Matthew is also the co-host of a podcast “The Mindful Builder” where he looks to share his knowledge with the industry on building better but also navigating around the mental health conversation.
