Mark Lee is an environmental engineer with 20 years of experience in pipe infrastructure, specialising in underground network asset management and condition assessment. He currently serves on the Water Services Association of Australia's Codes Technical Advisory Group, helping maintain the national technical standards that keep defect coding and asset inspection practices consistent across Australia's utilities.

Mark spent more than a decade as an engineer in operations and asset management at Central Coast Council, optimising the asset lifecycle of pipe networks. He later moved into the technology sector, working at the intersection of engineering and digital innovation to help utilities modernise pipe condition assessment and data management. He is passionate about using data to drive risk-based infrastructure decisions.
