Kate is leading the Engineering and Design for the Suburban Rail Loop Linewide Alliance, responsible for the infrastructure to deliver day one operations from Cheltenham to Boxhill. She is a strategic leader with a demonstrable track record in project design and delivery of some of Australia’s biggest infrastructure initiatives. An experienced civil engineer, she has held technical and leadership roles on multidisciplinary projects including the West Gate Tunnel Project, Melbourne Metro Early Works and Melbourne Airport Rail. Her experience includes construction delivery, engineering management, and geotechnical design roles.

Kate thrives on finding new ways to meet stakeholder expectations while preserving the technical integrity of each project. She challenges her team to embrace problems as opportunities to do things with greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Through demonstrating visible leadership on these projects, she hopes to attract the next generation of talented women to choose a discipline and industry she loves.
