Julian Anderson
Julian Anderson is a Director of Bates Smart with significant experience in leading large architectural and consultant teams, working with clients from the earliest stages of a project through to construction completion.
Using innovation as a tool for success, Julian works to turn complex briefs into built forms, bringing clients’ ideas and aspirations to life with user-focused architecture that is humanistic, contextually responsive, sustainable and flexible.
Working across diverse typologies, Julian approaches each project with a view to enhance the public realm, better our cities and create environments that improve people’s experience of built space.
Julian has most recently led a number of significant multi-residential build-to-sell and build-to-rent projects in Melbourne, including the award-winning The Eastbourne in East Melbourne and Home Southbank – the first BTR development in Australia. New residential developments underway include Prince & Parade, Brunswick; Park Modern, South Melbourne; and 671 Chapel Street, South Yarra.
