Johanna leads Arup’s Social Infrastructure business in Victoria, she is focused on delivering sustainability strategies, advisory services and projects for both private and public clients across the education, arts and culture, health and sport sector. Having worked in various architectural, engineering and sustainability roles around the world, and now specialising on Social Infrastructure, Johanna brings global insights and best practice to projects, fusing knowledge across disciplines and geographies. Johanna’s technical background in architecture and ClimaDesign (Building Physics), coupled with her diverse experience in engineering and sustainable design, enables her to combine both knowledge spheres to offer solutions that surpass standard thinking and methodologies.

From providing high-level strategic master planning services and sustainability framework advice to delivering detailed building designs, Johanna is engaged throughout every project stage and scale – from strategy, concept and planning through to resolving high performance construction details on site. She is particularly passionate about delivering projects that invite enquiry and exemplify the design and construction process.
