Jierui is a PhD candidate from the School of Property, Construction and Project Management, RMIT University. Her research is located at the intersection of built environment, indoor air quality, and artificial intelligence. Her doctoral research focuses on developing data-driven and AI-enabled approaches to understand and improve indoor air quality in school buildings, with emphasis on low-cost sensing, predictive modelling, and building–environment interactions. Her work combines field monitoring, explainable machine learning, and counterfactual analysis to generate actionable strategies for healthier and climate-resilient buildings. Looking ahead, her research aims to develop AI-enabled digital twins that support real-time decision-making and optimise building performance while balancing health, energy, and environmental impacts.
