Janitha Senavirathna

Manager Capital Program Optimization, TasWater 

Janitha Senavirathna is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and infrastructure professional with extensive experience across major infrastructure planning, delivery and capital program management in Australia and internationally.

Janitha is currently Manager Capital Program Optimisation at TasWater, where he contributes to the planning, optimisation and performance of TasWater's approximately $1.2 billion capital investment program over the next four years. His role focuses on strengthening capital program planning and performance, improving investment prioritisation and optimisation, and supporting the effective and efficient delivery of infrastructure investment across the organisation.

Prior to this role, Janitha managed the delivery of major water and sewer infrastructure projects with the TasWater Capital Delivery Office, developing extensive experience across project planning, design and construction management, commercial and risk management, stakeholder engagement and complex infrastructure delivery.

He is actively involved with Engineers Australia and has held leadership roles within the engineering profession, including Young Engineers Australia Tasmania and the Engineers Australia Tasmania Division Committee.

With experience spanning both frontline infrastructure delivery and enterprise-level capital program optimisation, Janitha is passionate about improving how infrastructure organisations plan, prioritise and deliver capital investment to achieve better long-term outcomes for customers and communities.
