Janette is Manager, Aboriginal Engagement at Suburban Rail Loop Authority.

Over nearly three decades, her career has spanned the not-for-profit, resources and government sectors - always with the goal to create workplaces where staff feel safe to bring their whole selves to work and valued employees thrive and achieve.

Janette’s work has focussed on Aboriginal programs and policy, promoting reconciliation and working towards self-determination for Aboriginal peoples and Traditional Owners, including with Comalco, Rio Tinto and the Victorian Government.

Janette believes that as allies we must deeply listen to Aboriginal peoples.

‘Respect for, and strong partnerships with Traditional Owners is at the core of organisational change and improved outcomes for First Peoples. This is true of service provision, employment and economic programs, resources and construction.’ says Janette.
