He began his career delivering large-scale industrial and commercial developments internationally, where he played a key role in project execution and financing.
In Victoria, Gabriel has delivered major infrastructure and asset programs across schools, TAFEs and universities, aligning capital investment with institutional growth, digital systems and sustainability goals. He has shaped long-term asset strategies and advanced low-carbon construction initiatives in the education sector.
At Melbourne Polytechnic, Gabriel leads commercial operations, infrastructure, digital strategy, environmental sustainability, and the institution’s growth strategy. His work is driving the organisation’s net-zero by 2040 commitment and delivering precinct-scale initiatives that integrate training delivery, renewable energy and sustainable construction.
Gabriel is currently spearheading the National Centre of Excellence in the Future of Housing Construction, linking vocational training with Modern Methods of Construction and innovation in Australia’s housing sector.
