Ethan is an experienced Landscape Architect and Urban Designer at ASPECT Studios, with a diverse portfolio spanning projects across Australia, China, the Middle East, and the United States. His practice blends art with emerging technologies, driving him to create immersive, embedded experiences that foreground cultural, technological, and ecological frameworks within the landscape.

Viewing AI as an artistic sketching tool that captures ideas and atmosphere, Ethan champions its capacity to push beyond conventional design imagination. He leverages AI's unexpected creative potential to unlock innovative ideation processes while maintaining the essential human touch. His approach balances data-driven decision-making with the poetic and experiential qualities fundamental to meaningful landscape design.

At ASPECT Studios, Ethan has contributed to award-winning projects demonstrating AI's transformative potential in both design development and storytelling. His work shifts the designer's role toward becoming curator, editor, and most importantly, storyteller - crafting narratives that resonate and linger with audiences.

Beyond practice, Ethan has led design studios at RMIT and Melbourne University, where he cultivates interdisciplinary methodologies that challenge traditional boundaries between architecture, urbanism, and landscape. Through teaching and research, he seeks new ways of understanding and addressing global design challenges.
