Dr Martin Stirling is the Codes & Approvals (Passive Firestop) and Health, Safety & Environment Manager at Hilti Australia. With more than three decades of experience in materials engineering, manufacturing and construction, he has dedicated his career to helping the building industry adopt safer and more productive work practices.

Since joining Hilti in 2004, Martin has worked extensively with contractors, safety professionals and regulators on the management of construction dust, including respirable crystalline silica. His focus has been on the implementation of practical engineering controls and innovative technologies that improve worker health outcomes while supporting productivity on site.

A passionate advocate for collaboration, Martin works to bring industry stakeholders together to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that address both safety and operational challenges in the construction sector.
