Lily Liu's doctoral research at UNSW Sydney focused on sustainable logistics and transportation optimisation for volumetric modular construction, with the aim of reducing transportation costs and carbon emissions.
She currently works as a structural engineer on modular building projects in Australia. Drawing on her research background and current engineering experience, Lily is interested in how design, manufacturing, transportation and site installation can be better coordinated to support the wider adoption of modern methods of construction.
