Dr Georgia Khatib is the Senior Lead of the Coordination – Strategy, Policy and Specialist Advice team within the Australian Government Asbestos and Silica Safety and Eradication Agency. She has more than 10 years policy and regulatory research experience in the Australian public sector, underpinned by a PhD in Medicine and a previous 15-year career as a biomedical research scientist, both nationally and internationally, in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Collectively, she has led multidisciplinary teams, implementing creative risk-taking and diverse analytical approaches to investigate complex issues, driving innovation and delivering high-impact initiatives for the benefit of Australian society.
