Dr. Clyde Webster is the founder and managing director of Crest Robotics. He holds a PhD in robotics from UTS, and brings experience from roles as a lead engineer at Space Machines Company and as a visiting scholar at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Clyde's work is driven by a simple philosophy: improve safety, improve productivity. His goal is a world where blue-collar workers are free from risk and can be 3 to 10 x more productive by being paired with robotic tools that reduce their risk and boost productivity. In the last three and a half years Clyde has successfully achieved this bringing robots to the energy sector with partners including Transgrid, Zinfra, and TasNetworks, and has successfully entered the construction sector building relationships with Lend Lease, Hickory, and McNab.
