Dai Andrew Forterre
NBSO-Melbourne, the 23rd branch of a global network of Netherlands business support offices, supports Dutch business to enter into or expand their activities in the Australian market place.
The launch of NBSO-Melbourne reflects Melbourne and Victoria's growing importance as a science, agricultural, business, medical and services hub in the Indo-Pacific. With NBSO-Melbourne, the Netherlands is well positioned to capitalize on the opportunities and growth across a range of sectors related to the Energy Transition, Sustainable Innovation, and Advanced Technologies.
Dr. Dai Forterre was recently appointed Chief Representative of Melbourne's soon-to-be-launched Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO.)
Before that, he was the program leader for Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs in The Hague and a senior economic policy officer at the Netherlands Embassy in Canberra.
During his corporate career, he was responsible for Corporate Sustainability programs and teams in the logistics industry and sporting goods sectors working across the Asian-Pacific and Europe.
He holds a PhD in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and graduate degrees in Management (Durham, UK) and International Relations (Amsterdam.)
On a part-time basis he is an Adjunct-Professor at Luiss Business School Amsterdam and an affiliate of Monash Sustainable Development Institute.
