Caoimhin is the Managing Director of DeltaQ, an energy efficiency and emissions consultancy with offices in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane. Caoimhin has over 30 years’ experience across the built environment, with a focus on sustainable design and upgrading of commercial buildings to achieve high performance, with a focus on retrofit project management and commissioning verification.

Caoimhin was the primary author of the Energy Efficiency Council’s retrofit project management assessment scheme. He had an active role in the scheme as an Assessor over the last decade.

Project experience includes the upgrade of more than 20 energy upgrades of commercial buildings (office, hotels, shopping centres, temperature controlled warehouses, etc) and electrification of HHW starting from energy audits, through design development and commissioning verification and tuning. In addition, his experience includes the roll out of EV Chargers in buildings, the development of mid-scale solar and battery (BESS) arrays, negotiating demand response arrangements and the establishment of embedded networks for clients, inclusive of facilitating the commercial arrangements with energy market participants.

In recent times, Caoimhin has had a focus on helping clients set up systems and processes for capture and report on Scope 1 and 2 emissions under the ASRS and GHG reporting requirements.

 A passion for Caoimhin is the application of the CIBSE Soft Landings framework for new and retrofit projects to ensure a smooth transition into operations, making sure all engineering services are configured in a way to be operationally reliable.
