Mr Jorge is Chief Executive Officer of the Export Council of Australia.  He has more than 25 years of experience in global trade, including as an Australian diplomat, government trade negotiator, and export consultant.  He has a Master of Business Administration (specialising in entrepreneurial management and marketing).  He is trained in aid-for-trade projects, and lean start-up and agile methodologies.

The Export Council of Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, representing businesses engaged in international trade.  ECA members (mostly small and medium sized businesses) come from a range of industries (both goods and services), are involved in two-way trade and investment, and are operating across global markets.  ECA provides advice, training, ecosystem-building, and advocacy.  ECA champions simplified trade and smart market access, utilisation of emerging technologies, traceability, and environmental sustainability.
