Anwar Gayed is a Principal Plumbing Engineer at the Office of the State Building Surveyor within Victoria’s Building and Plumbing Commission. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer with 25+ years’ local and international experience across plumbing, hydraulic fire, and mechanical systems, with a strong focus on regulation, compliance and practitioner education. In his current role, Anwar provides technical advice on the Building Act, Plumbing Regulations, NCC/PCA and Australian Standards, and leads guidance and education products.
