Andrew Bates is a skilled professional with a strong engineering background, currently serving as Design Manager at SYNC. His career with SYNC demonstrates steady progression, underpinned by technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in prefabricated construction. Andrew joined SYNC in 2019 as a Project Coordinator, bringing with him valuable experience as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. During his four years in as Project Coordinator, Andrew played a key part in coordinating the design and delivery of SYNC’s prefabricated bathroom pods, ensuring projects met the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency. In September 2023, Andrew’s expertise and leadership capabilities earned him the role of Design Manager. In this position, he leads SYNC’s design team, overseeing all aspects of product development and innovation in prefabrication. Andrew’s focus on integrating cutting-edge technology and optimising workflows continues to enhance SYNC’s reputation as an industry leader. With a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Systems) and a Master of Engineering (Mechanical Systems) from the University of Melbourne, Andrew combines technical knowledge with practical experience to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. His career trajectory highlights a dedication to growth, both personally and for SYNC, as he contributes to advancing the prefabrication industry across Australia and New Zealand.
