Alex is an experienced Project Construction Manager with a prominent career spanning over two decades in major infrastructure projects across the globe. With a profound expertise in tunnelling and construction management, Alex has left his mark in diverse environments, from the rugged terrain of the Gobi Desert in China to bustling urban landscapes in Australia, South America, and Southeast Asia.
Alex is an active member of renown international professional organizations such as the Italian Association of Mining Engineers and the Institute of Material, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) in the UK and he is Chartered Engineer by the Engineering Council in the UK.
Throughout his career, Alex has demonstrated an exceptional ability to manage complex construction operations. His roles have varied from supervising major tunnelling operations to overseeing the whole site and construction management for Tier 1 organizations. His approach ensures that project specifications are met within timelines, he excels in liaising with clients, professional staff, and the public and he his strongly committed to impeccable performance in health and safety, environmental, and sustainability areas.
Alex has been instrumental in executing various World Class Project and contributed on various phases including Tender Procurement, Excavation of large caverns in urban areas (Melbourne CBD), and managing TBMs in challenging environments. His expertise covers Earth Pressure Balance TBMs, Slurry TBMs, Hard Rock & Double Shield TBMs.
In his current role at Bouygues Construction Australia, Alex is overseeing the construction operation for TerraVerde, the JV delivering the Suburban Rail Loop North Tunnels Project.
