The Society of Fire Safety (SFS), a Technical Society of Engineers Australia, promotes excellence in fire safety engineering across Australia.

Established in 1994, it brings together professionals engaged in fire safety to lead the development, education, practice and regulation of fire safety in the built environment. SFS advocates for high standards, produces practice guides and technical resources, supports research and training, and works with government, industry and community stakeholders to reduce risk to life, property and the environment from fire.
