Codes & Regulations: What Every Tradie Needs to Know
Join the Australian Building Codes Board for an overview of the key changes to the National Construction Code (NCC) 2025, including the Building Code of Australia (BCA) 2025, comprising NCC Volumes One and Two, and the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) 2025, contained in NCC Volume Three. You’ll also learn about the NCC and its role in Australia’s building and construction industry.
NCC 2025 includes improvements aimed at durability, climate resilience and safety, with the most substantial changes applying to commercial buildings. It also introduces clearer requirements and assessment pathways, to help reduce ambiguity and improve consistency in application. Learn why these changes matter and what they mean for building and construction industry practitioners.
For plumbing practitioners, the session will explain what has changed, why the changes are important, and what practitioners need to understand when designing, installing and assessing plumbing and drainage work. It will also outline how the Plumbing Code of Australia, referenced standards and the WaterMark Certification Scheme interact, including the importance of checking jurisdictional requirements and supporting evidence.
A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
