PANEL: Demystifying the Circular Economy in Construction
26 Nov 2026
SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT
As the concept of a circular economy gains traction across the built environment, its application in construction remains widely misunderstood. Moving beyond the traditional linear model of take, make and dispose, circular approaches aim to design out waste, extend material lifecycles and retain value within the system. This panel brings together perspectives from across design, engineering, manufacturing and policy to unpack what circularity really means in practice. It will explore how principles such as reuse, adaptability and material recovery are being applied on the ground, while addressing the practical, technical and cultural barriers that continue to limit widespread adoption.
