The Queensbridge Building Tops Out at 209 Metres

Time & Place, in collaboration with MaxCap Group and Hickory, has achieved the topping out of The Queensbridge Building in Southbank, Melbourne. This 65-storey project has now reached its pinnacle at 209 metres, a significant construction achievement as it progresses towards its planned completion in late 2025.
Upon its completion, the structure will encompass 353 apartments and a 188-room boutique hotel named the Hannah St. Hotel, which will become part of the Collection by TFE Hotels. The hotel will feature a distinct lobby and dining area adjacent to the residential entrance, catering to shared resident amenities within the building.
The architectural design by Fraser & Partners, coupled with interiors by David Flack of Flack Studio, incorporates rooftop terraces, gardens, a lap pool, wellness studios, co-working spaces, and an exclusive clubhouse for residents. Hickory is overseeing the construction phase, with attention now shifting towards interior enhancements.
Tim Price, director at Time & Place, expressed pride in the topping out milestone, stating, “This is a momentous step towards delivering The Queensbridge Building, and the dedication from our partners, Hickory and MaxCap Group, ensures a project of exceptional quality,” said Price. “Reaching this point gives buyers confidence that their home will be delivered on time, meeting the high expectations we’ve communicated from the outset.”
George Abrahram, managing director at Hickory, emphasised the strength of the partnership, remarking, “We are thrilled to have topped out The Queensbridge Building, a landmark project that will redefine luxury living in Southbank. Our hardworking teams are focused on completing the internal fit-outs and are on track to deliver a transformative living experience in an iconic building.”
Simon Hulett, head of direct investment at MaxCap Group, highlighted the team's robust execution and the project's quality, stating, “It also highlights the quality of product and outcome we are committed to delivering for our investors,” said Hulett. “We believe The Queensbridge Building will set a new benchmark for quality in Melbourne and is ideally positioned to capitalise on the improving market sentiment in 2025.”
