COX Architects have creatively preserved the historic four-storey Burbank House, transforming it to host the building's special communal spots. Connected via a central atrium and vertical circulation system, these areas are placed on the lower levels, fostering connections among residents and the neighbourhood through outdoor terraces. Every floor boasts shared spaces with stunning views and natural light, encouraging social interactions. At the tower's peak, an expansive sky terrace offers city skyline views and tranquil spots for unwinding and outdoor activities.

Market Way Student Living stands as a testament to innovative urban design, blending historical charm with modern functionality to create a living space that goes beyond mere accommodation, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community within Melbourne's evolving cityscape. Inside the building there will be a cinema, games room, library and music lounge. The Journal Student Living is set to open in 2026 and interested students can sign up to the waitlist here
