Australia's Tallest Mass Timber Residential Tower Planned for Abbotsford
Get ready for the TALLEST mass timber residential building in Australia.
Following six months of planning and feasibility testing, developer MODEL has proposed plans for a 17-storey residential tower delivering 200 apartments.
The $130m, 13,000 sqm tower would be located adjacent to the Victoria Park train station at 276 Johnston Street in Abbotsford.
The 6-Star Green Star and 9-Star NatHERS-rated development would be Australia’s tallest mass timber residential building.
It would also become the first large-scale apartment building in Melbourne to be certified to passive house standards.
Plans have been submitted to the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning.
